This table shows a cross section of the limb of an elm tree that had been struck by lightning.
The scar shows how the tree had tried to heal the wound and is a great visual display of nature at work.
The void caused by the lightening strike has been filled with a copper epoxy resin and held in place by a copper plate Dam.
The living edge top is further enhanced by the 3 part Elm, wax and copper detail plugs which serve a dual purpose of not only hiding the fixing detail of the legs but also adds a refined feel to the piece.
The living edge legs further compliment the style of the piece in adding a considered, yet rustic signature and a nod of appreciation to natural origins.

“Bamboo Mosaic Table:
This table was painstakingly created using recycled bamboo flooring and a huge amount of patience!
The end and side grain of the material was used to create the ever decreasing and increasing labyrinth formation.
A 3mm thick Epoxy resin coating has been and polished to an ultra-gloss finish which keeps the surface well protected and gives the illusion of a change in depth and colour, depending on the light and angle its viewed from.
The classically slim yet sturdy legs perfectly compliment the linear format of the table top
